emachines E627 laptop webcam problem

Hello!

System: Ubuntu 9.10
Laptop: emachines E627

I have searched the forum and googled for 2 days, tried all different ways...
and still can't get my built-in camera working.
I installed Cheese and it says can't detect any camera...
but I do have a built-in camera!
Although not very sure the model of it,
it could be either Suyin0 or Chicony according to my research...

after typing lsusb in the command line...
I got the following message:

Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 045e:00d2 Microsoft Corp.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Certainly I have no idea what they mean, but thought they might be helpful for those who can give me a hand or some suggestions.

If you bought the Black Friday special it probably doesn't have a camera.I bought two of them and no camera. They have the aperture where it should be but no camera.
